A technical second opinion for the people who sign.
Investment committees, boards and executive teams face winter equipment decisions they cannot evaluate from a specification sheet. We give them an independent read: in their language, on their timeline.
Executive advisory
Where we are called.
- Technical & market due diligence
- Independent assessment of a winter-equipment business or technology before an investment decision.
- Product portfolio review
- Where a range is strong, where it is duplicated, and where it is quietly losing money.
- Technology assessment
- Whether an emerging technology creates operational value or only a specification line.
- Executive briefings
- A structured read of the industry for people who need the picture in an hour, not a quarter.
- Fleet & equipment strategy
- For municipalities, DOTs and airports: what to buy, what to keep, what to retire.
- Board-level advisory
- A recurring technical voice for boards without an equipment specialist at the table.
Who we advise
Both sides of the table.
We work for the people who build the machines and the people who buy them. That is unusual, and it is the reason our read is worth something.
- Investors & private equity
- Technical and market due diligence for winter-equipment businesses and technologies.
- Manufacturer boards
- Portfolio, technology and investment decisions that need an independent technical view.
- Municipalities & DOTs
- Fleet technology assessment and equipment strategy.
- Airports
- High-performance winter operations and equipment technology.
Contractor Advisory
And for the people who plow.
Snow One Contractor Advisory is a written-answer service for US snow-removal companies: fleet, equipment, bid and cost questions, answered by an engineer within 48 hours.
Confidentiality
Under NDA, always.
Manufacturers do not hand over their drawings, their costs and their failure data lightly. Every engagement starts with a mutual non-disclosure agreement, signed before the first technical conversation.
- Your data stays yours
- Drawings, CAD, bills of material, cost structures, test results and field data remain your property. We hold them for the engagement and return or destroy them at its end, on your instruction.
- No client is ever named
- We publish no case study, no logo and no reference without your written agreement. The work you commission does not become our marketing.
- No carry-over between clients
- We work for several manufacturers in the same industry. What we learn on one engagement never travels to another. Project teams are separated, and we decline work where that separation cannot be guaranteed.
- Anonymity does not expire
- The obligation outlives the engagement. A delivered project, a launched product or a change of supplier does not make your work ours to show. We keep no public client list, and this site names none.

An opinion is cheap. An informed one is not.
Bring us the decision. We will tell you what we would need to answer it properly, and what it would cost.
